WHAT IS AN ADVERB?
- Adverbs normally describe verbs, adjectives, other adverbs or the whole sentence.
► He swims very fast
- They tell us how ( adverbs of manner- carefully), where ( adverbs of place- there), when ( adverbs of time- tomorrow) , how often ( adverbs of frequency- always) or how much ( adverbs of degree- completely) something happens.
- There are also relative adverbs ( when, where, why) and sentence adverbs ( maybe)
